That's What Makes Me Cool! だから私はかこいいっ！Dakara watashi ha kakoii! is the ninth episode of the Aoharu x Kikanjuu anime series. It aired on August 28, 2015.

Synopsis[]
Hotaru Tachibana can't stop thinking of the loss and how she failed executing her justice. She is distracted during the whole day at school and Kanae Yajima asks her whats wrong. Tachibana ends up revealing that she is playing survival games and how important the tournament was, but they lost to the champions. Tachibana then decides to quit the team and leaves. Yajima starts searching what type of game this is and finds it dangerous, wanting to make Tachibana quit, but then realizes Tachibana said she is quitting. Yajima then recalls how her class was loosing non-stop at dodgeball, however Tachibana didn't quit and inspired all to continue playing.
At lunch, Yajima goes to Tachibana and challenges her to a contest. The news spread quickly that a girl challenged the student council president and students gather to watch it. Yajima explains they will face in a 50-meter dash with Tachibana wondering if Yajima can even run, however Yajima comments it doesn't matter what they play as that isn't the important thing.
At the hospital, Takatora Fujimoto is being scolded for barely making it in time and the nurse tells him he must be like Nagamasa Midori, who comes 20 mins earlier. Fujimoto then recalls how he went to Midori apartment and woke him up as he overslept. He then made him breakfast, while Midori took a shower and wasted more time speaking on the phone. They left 30 mins before work, which is exactly the time Fujimoto needs to reach the hospital, but Midori refuses to ride his bike and calls a cab and arrives 20 mins earlier than Fujimoto. Fujimoto then sees Midori passing and ignoring Fujimoto and not backing him up, making him want Midori to tear him down even more.
Meanwhile, the 50-dash starts and Tachibana finishes first and sees Kanae is really slow and even stops midway. Kanae requests for another run and another, but she keeps losing and even walks barely. As Kanae fell, Tachibana tries to give her a hand, however Kanae refuses and asks Tachibana what she thinks of her right now. As Tachibana couldn't answer, Kanae states that she looks cool. Kanae then reminds Tachibana what she said during the dodgeball game and that if you give up before trying makes you uncool and she will never give up and keep fighting, which is way cooler. Kanae then states that Tachibana is uncool for giving up on survival games due to losing the tournament. Tachibana gets motivated of Kanae's words and decides to continue and reveal to her teammates that she is a girl.
